• 31 Days of Shipping: 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry
Amusingly enough, this was one of the easier ones to answer. That and the one following this entry. I know that many may not agree, but at the sametime understand where I’m coming from in consideration to the question.
I’ve chosen Perry Cox and Jordan Sullivan from the television series Scrubs.
It’s not the most ideal of relationships as they do fight a lot but that’s just how they are. They may have really hard times being mushy, romantic, or even plain courteous but that doesn’t matter. Through the arguments, namecalling, and all the times they’ve tried to get back at eachother. In the end, though you may not always see it, they really do care about eachother. It’s just difficult to express it other than those few rare occasional moments alone in private with no witnesses.

• 31 Days of Shipping: 03 - A pairing that should happen
Man, did I ever get off track on this. Anyway.. Let’s continue.
A pairing that should happen… Well. The problem with this question is that most times, I’m actually quite fond of the canon couple. I don’t get upset if So-and-so doesn’t get with Whatsherface.
…That and I don’t watch much TV nowadays so there aren’t too many new shows or shows in general that I’ve seen to decide on a pairing. Ahem.. That is except for one. Lately the only thing I’ve gotten into is Avatar: Legend of Korra. So for those who already know where this is going, please forgive me.
Yes.. I think you all already know where this is going. I do like Mako & Korra together. Personally I think it’s a good chemistry. She seems to get really competitive around him, even more so than usual and he seems to encourage it. They’re basically the couple that would act like friends with benefits. Also, I am quite aware of how terrible that sounds.
However, recently there’s been a change in that possible ship as the show progressed with the introduction of Asami Sato. I have noticed that a lot of people, including one of my friends is freaking out about that. Being that she’s an avid Mako x Korra fan. Like seriously, hardcore. I don’t know though, I’m pretty flexible. I can see how this can be attractive.
Asami is a pretty sweet girl with a bit of a tough side. However there is really only one problem that I have with this pairing so far and that is suspicion. They’re getting really close way too fast. In the scene above, it seems to have been stated that they’ve been going out for atleast a week. So I’m rather worried that she might actually be working for the Equalists. If not though then that’ll be a relief from my mind.
In the end, I don’t particularly mind who ends up with who by the time the show is over. I just know that I’m going to enjoy it.

• 31 Days of Shipping: 02 - What was your very first pairing ship
Oy.. This is likely to sound awkward. Alright. My.. Very first couple that I ever paired together in a shipping fashion was.. I can’t say it. I just can’t.
..Alright.. Deep breath now… Arthur Pendragon and Lady Squirrel from Disney’s Sword in the Stone.
Please refrain your judgement until I’ve explained! As bizarre of a pairing this be considering it does loosely imply bestiality it was very adorable in the eyes of a five year old. I’d sometimes fast forward through the entire movie just to see the scene with the two of them interacting. Her voice is just so damn adorable and his trying his hardest to make her realize that he isn’t really a squirrel always has me laughing. I simply couldn’t get enough of the squirrely cuteness.
However, what probably did it in for me was when Arthur had to return to his real self and let me tell ya.. That was probably one of the most heartbreaking scenes I’ve ever had to see. Lady Squirrel had finally found the love of her life. Frolicking after him like a lovesick school girl. Only to realize that she and he could never actually be together. For he was human and she a creature of the woods.
When Arthur tried to explain the situation to her, despite knowing fully well that she likely didn’t understand a word he was saying I just wanted him to go back to being a squirrel and stay with her right there and then.
However that wouldn’t have been at all practical nor stay true to the story. Can you imagine the story of King Arthur of Camelot ending this way?
“…And thus, he set aside the throne and the valiant sword Excalibur to forever live his life as a squirrel.”
Yea… I don’t think so. Sorry younger self, it wasn’t meant to be.

• 31 Days of Shipping: 01 - What is your current favorite pairing ship
How to begin? Anyone who knows me or has atleast been following me for awhile should be quite aware that I’m a sucker for romantic stories and situations. Though little did I realize that this first question would already put me in quite the bind.
See, the thing is. I don’t actually have a current favorite couple. Nothing official anyway that’s out of books, television, or other media. So what was I to do? I had to choose someone.
Well, after placing much thought into this. I realized that I did indeed have a couple that I particularly liked lately due to their chemistry. Problem is, it’s an artist’s concept. Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course, but it does make things a bit more complicated in terms of explanation. So again, what was I to do? To solve my predicament, I went ahead and made my own imagery to accompany this article. By attempting to make it look as official as possible would certainly aid me quite a bit in terms of appearances.
That counts, doesn’t it? Of course it does. Now, without dallying it any longer, ladies and gentleman. I give you Mias and Elle from well… Mias and Elle. I suppose it could be The Many Adventures of Mias and Elle but I’m not even sure if there is an official title for the series.. However before I start babbling let us move on to the subject at hand.
Now, from what I understand after reading several snippets here and there while also keeping in mind that the story may have gone into an entirely different direction since. The tale itself is about a young maiden by the name of Mirelle and an evil sorcerer who appears to be quite infatuated with her named Mias.
The two don’t exactly initially start off on good terms unfortunately. However that makes it all the more intriguing now doesn’t it? It wasn’t love at first sight, but rather more of a ploy of cruel self amusement. Mirelle was minding her own business, living from day to day as an ordinary woman when suddenly, everything she knew, loved, or dreamed of doing was shattered forever because of one man. No trace of her was ever to be found again.
Becoming someone’s prisoner isn’t exactly the most romantic way to get to know someone. Why would Mias have done such a thing to begin with? He didn’t know her, she didn’t know him. She was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. What can I say, boredom is a very dangerous thing. This was to be her fate now, to entertain the man that ruined her life. Yet, at the same time, as much as she might have hated him for it this was also a new life. A chance to be someone else and do things differently. Thus, she was reborn as Elle. Mirelle, was no more.
I suppose you could say she developed Stockholm Syndrome.
Despite all odds, and likely due to them constantly having to be around eachother, the two eventually do fall in love. But how is someone who thrives in the darkness supposed to be with someone who radiates light? That’s the mystery that will remain such until the final story comes forth.
In the end, it all comes down to the characters themselves. Despite being supposedly evil Mias is a very likable character and Elle is a very sweet girl. I adore the many antics the author has them go through and I get very excited whenever I see a new drawing featuring them as I’m sure to have a good laugh everytime as well as gushy moments of “D’aw.” It’s certainly a series I’d recommend to everyone.
Until it’s finalized though, I eagerly await the day it comes out of the story boarding phases.
